Report of a fire in a high-rise building. Fire on multiple floors of the old post office.
Rope-assisted search with heavy smoke on the 7th floor.
Now reporting smoke on the 7th floor, but no heat; order for companies to search the 6th floor.
Order to close off the expressway as firefighters are breaking glass into expressway traffic on Congress Parkway below.
Two standpipes setting up. Primary search underway.
Requesting Air Mask Truck 6-4-5 to the front of the building.
5-7-1 requested east of the fire building.
Primary search complete and negative throughout the entire building. All companies working by 10:56 a.m.
Fire has been extinguished with a 2 1/2-inch line, visibility conditions are clear, all companies working by 11:04 a.m.
