Preliminary investigation indicates source of fire may have been a stove that was being used to heat the residence.

BC19 reports no exposure on the D Side, potential exposure on the B-Side with main aerial to the roof, ground ladder on Side A and a ground ladder on Side C with everybody working by 10:40 p.m.

BC19 reports it appears the main body of fire in the basement has burned through the floor -- checking for extension by 10:43 p.m.

Report of a boy hit by a vehicle.

Boy, age 13, transported to St. Alexius Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead at 8:31 p.m.

Ronald Guidry was crossing Irving Park Road near Sunnydale Boulevard west of McKool Avenue about 7:40 p.m. when he was struck by a Chevrolet Suburban heading eastbound on Irving Park Road. The driver of the Chevy Suburban was a 58-year-old man.

No other injuries were reported.
