Patient reported to be in the north alley at North Ave and Washtenaw Ave.

Patient transported to Level I Trauma Center Stroger Cook County Hospital

Police report a suspicious male was shot in the lower extremities after failing to comply with command to drop his weapon, and after turning toward the police officer.

Police report suspect's weapon was recovered at the scene.

Police were on patrol monitoring Puerto Rican Festival at Humboldt Park (1440 North Sacramento Ave).
