Report of a person hit by a vehicle; and unconscious on the ground and seriously injured on Columbine Avenue near Pleasant Avenue.

Columbine Avenue (Route 53) was immediately closed in both directions between North Avenue and St Charles Road.

E45 crew assisting the ambulance with transport.

M45 transported one patient with life-threatening injuries to Level I Trauma Center Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital beginning about 8:15 PM.

Columbine Avenue (Route 53) was closed for extended crash investigation.
