Report of a person in the water. Report that boaters jumped out for a swim and can't find one male swimmer.
6-8-8 confirms that people jumped in the water, and one male swimmer is missing.
6-8-8 reports the scene is one mile off shore.
6-8-1 ETA in 7 minutes.
6-8-8 reports possible SONAR sighting and BC12 reports they're about to put two divers in the water at 3:14 pm.
Helicopter "6-8-2" reports they're passing Navy Pier at 120 MPH with an ETA of 30 seconds at 3:14 pm.
2-2-1 reports one victim out of the water and searching for a second victim.
TL10 and A24 relocating to Diversey Harbor by 3:31 pm.
Second ambulance requested at the mouth of Diversey Harbor at 3:37 pm.
Boat has drifted a considerable distance from the point where one swimmer was lost. Divers are out of the water and are placed in staging at the Marine Safety Station at about 43 minutes into the incident (3:43 pm). A grid pattern is underway with SONAR.
At 3:55 pm 2-2-1 reported the boat captain advised the fire department that the boat drifted for about 15 minutes before the swimmers were able to dial 9-1-1. The boat drifted a considerable distance to the east during the 15 minutes and by the time the 9-1-1 call was completed.
Much of Chicago Fire Department units ending their search about 4:45 pm. Chicago Police Marine Unit will continue to search for victim.
