Nine patients transported to Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge and Presence Resurrection Hospital in Chicago. Initially, there was report that two people possibly suffered serious injuries (Code Red category). Initially there are no reports of any burn injuries or smoke inhalation injuries. Later the Chicago Fire Department reported that about 20 patients were transported with minor injuries, such as ankle injuries. The Emergency Medical Response was elevated to an EMS Plan 3, which brings about 15 ambulances to the scene.

BC20 requesting a Still and Box, Mayday, and EMS Plan 1 for a firefightrer that fell through the first floor into the basement, and for an exposure problem to the south by 5:38 p.m.
Third engine requested to lead out with a 2 1/2-inch line on Marshfield in front of 6930 address.
Firefighter through the floor into basement.
Firefighter "we have our guy" by 5:43 p.m. and all companies accounted for by 5:43 p.
