Icing on bridges reported.

All lanes blocked inbound I-55 near Route 53. vehicles are backing up the wrong way on a ramp near Weber.

A second crash also located inbound before Route 126.

A third crash reported on outbound I-55 near Route 53 about 6:25 a.m.

DIVE WATER/ICE RESCUE RESPONSE FOR A CAR IN THE WATER ON LINCOLN HIGHWAY, LYNWOOD

MABAS Division 24 Box Alarm on Box #2488 for a Dive Tech water rescue response.

Report of a fully-submerged vehicle with possibly two victims trapped. Also, a report that one person surfaced, called for help, and went back under.

Originally dispatched as 3600 Lincoln Highway.

Chicago SCUBA Ops Chief 6-8-6 and Rescue Helicopter 6-8-1 assigned joint operations. Rescue 6-8-1 lifting off about 1:46 p.m. for visual search from the air -- no divers deployed.

Water is about 30 feet deep. There was ice near the shoreline but most of the pond was open water. Tire tracks went into the lake.

CFD Rescue Helicopter 6-8-1 found no signs of a vehicle while searching with binoculars and a FLIR camera. There was no oil slick and 6-8-1 crew was unable to see the bottom of the pond.

Search suspended on December 18, 2016. Search scheduled to resume 10:00 a.m. Monday, December 19, 2016.
