Report of a vacant commercial building fire.
BC14 reports a 3-story ordinary, 100x200, with a fire in the rear.
SQD1 assigned to put the snorkel to work.
Side Note: About 40 cars reported to be involved in street racing nearby on Loomis between 25th St and Cermak.
Second RIT Chief and Truck requested for the rear of the building -- BC6 and T7 assigned.
Third Tower Ladder for the 3-11 requested by 2:30 a.m.
Firefighting is defensive with all firefighters "safe".
Rear wall collapse by 3:36 a.m.
Requesting at 2:45 a.m. the spare snorkel to come from the west to C Sector, also the Deluge unit to come to the scene.
Hose wagon requested at 2:46 a.m.
Four elevated streams -- two on the B-Side and two on the D-Side.
CV274 reporting there was a collapse involving the building and requests an immediate response of the building department at 3:44 a.m.
9 master streams; 5 are elevated at 3:59 a.m.
Going to interior attack at 5:01 a.m.
