Report of a Southwest Boeing 737 aircraft that ingested a bird and circled back to airport immediately after takeoff.
Aircraft landing on MIDWAY RUNWAY 31C (41.781331, -87.746653).
Still and Box Alarm on orders of E127.
The aircraft landed safely by 10:09 a.m. and returned to the gate.
Rescue 6-5-2 firefighters on the scene reported no flames or smoke visible and no visible damage -- getting a report that the aircraft ingested a bird on takeoff. Fire crews were following the aircraft to the gate.
Female officer with E127 crew is incorrectly reporting the aircraft as a Boeing 747.
Still and Box Alarm struck out and EMS Plan 1 secured by 10:23 a.m.
