CONDO FIRE CAUSED BY REPAIR WORK WITH A TORCH ON NORTH KEDZIE BLVD NEAR PALMER CT CHICAGO

    [POST NOT UPDATED FROM FIREMAPCHICAGO] 3:28 PM ... Chicago firefighters and paramedics working at the scene of house fire in the block of 2200 North Kedzie Boulevard Chicago. Worker was injured when the fire started when a torch was being used for exterior repairs on a condo built in 1893. BC7 reports E76 and E91 leading out, ground ladders up on Side A and Side B. Still and Box Alarm at 3:48 PM. Rehab Unit requested at 3:59 PM. Three lines on the fire at a 2 1/2-story ordinary, 25x50 with heavy fire in the attic, primary and secondary complete by 4:17 PM. Injured member on the C-side about 4:18 PM. Still and Box Alarm struck out by 4:24 PM. Injuries apparently minor; worker a refusal, firefighter transported as a precaution. CFD reporting no injuries.
